Category

When a product is added or updated from admin panel, it is mandatory to specify its category. Based on these categories and its products, set from admin panel, they will be displayed in POS desktop app sales window.

List and re-order categories

Here we have the list of all categories.

User can easily re-order categories by drag and drop from the admin panel. This same order will be followed in POS desktop application.

Add a new category

We can create a new category by giving basic details such as category name, image (optional), color code and description. The active/inactive status of the category can be set from here. Also display order for each category can be defined.

Category details and its products

Here we have details like category name, display color, short description, etc. We also have the list of products currently coming under the category.

Products cannot be added from category. From Category product listing, we can change the display order of the products in that category by "drag and drop". This same order will be followed in POS desktop application. We can also navigate to the product's detail page from the Category > product listing.

Delete a category

User can delete an existing category if and only if there are no products under it.
