Availability group
Some products can be available for some duration of time. For eg, some breakfast products may be available during breakfast hours alone. To confine the availability of a product to a specific time range of a day, we use availability groups.
Availability groups are set for one or more sales-channels. From POS sales channel, unlike other sales-channels, if a product is out of the availability time (not-available), it will still be available for sale.
If no stores are assignd to the availability groups, then it means "the group is applicable to all stores".
Lets understand availability group with an example.
Say we have a product Chicken & Avo Roll that will be served only as breakfast for two stores.
-
Create an availability group BreakFastOnly, from 7:00am to 11:30am, for Online Ordering and POS sales channels.
-
Map the product to the availability group.
Now, for these availability-group mapped stores, this product will be available for sale only during the set time range (7:30am to 11:30am). But for rest of the stores for which the product is mapped, the product will be available all time.
Availability-group of a product can be managed from the product's Availability Group tab also.
User can create, view, edit and delete an availability group. He can also map stores and products to this group from here.
