Terminals
Each physical POS machine/device used to carry out the sale from a store is managed in the admin panel using terminals. Here we add terminals for the selected stores and pair them with the device.
Token Prefix | Prefix used on all orders executed from this terminal. Used for identifying the terminal used to execute the order. |
Name | User defined name for the terminal |
Store Name | The store to which the terminal is belongs to |
App Version | The version of the POS App that is being used |
Pairing Status | Whether currently any device is paired to this terminal or not. Only unpaired terminal can be paired to an unpaired device. |
Connection Status | If the connection is Online/Offline |
Status | Overall status : Active/Inactive |
Registration Code | Auto-generated code used to pair the terminal to the device. |
UID | Unique ID of the device. Value available only if paired. |
Sales Type | Configure sales-channels for the terminal and set a default one. Only an enabled sales-type can be executed using the device. |
Cashless Till | If "Yes", payment can be made using all methods except "Cash". If "No" , payment can be made using "Cash" along with other available payment methods. |
Let us understand the steps.

Add a "New Terminal" from the admin panel for the selected store.

Copy the registration code of the terminal from it's detail page.

Start the POS-Bfit Desktop application from the device. Use the above code and pair the device with the terminal.
Unpair terminal and Reset terminal
Only an unpaired terminal can be paired to an unpaired device.
Unpair terminal
Unpairing a terminal from device done from Admin panel using unpair option. Once unpaired, the terminal can be paired to same or another unpaired-device.
Reset terminal
The same action can be done from POS desktop app using Reset Terminal option.
End of the day
From terminal details page also we can do end of the day. Click here to know more about EOD.
Cashless Till
A cashless till does not handle cash transactions. You can make a terminal cashless or not, by enabling or disabling the "cashless till" button. This can be done at the time of terminal creation or we can edit the terminal from the Admin panel.
