Hold or Recall
If a customer begins an order but is unable to complete the transaction right away, you can place the order on hold and proceed with the next customer. The order can be recalled later to complete the transaction.
Hold
To place an order on hold, click the 'Hold' button at the top of the cart.This option will be enabled once a product has been added to the cart.
The held order will be visible on the left side of the screen with a timer and the initials of the staff member who placed the order on hold.
Recall
To recall a held order, click on the order from the left side-panel, and it will be moved back to the cart.
You can also recall the order by navigating to the 'Transaction' tab, selecting the 'On Hold' order, and clicking the 'Recall' button.
Important Points on Hold & Recall
- Drive-Thru Orders on Hold If a drive-thru order is placed on hold, its ticket will be displayed in the bumpscreen (KDS). For any other sale type, held orders will not be displayed on the bumpscreen.
- When an order is placed on hold at one till, it can be recalled from another till within the same store.
- Multiple transactions can be placed on hold at the same time.
- Items in a held transaction can be modified upon recall.
- Discounts and coupons can be added or removed from a held transaction when it is recalled.
- Any discounts or coupons applied to a transaction will be preserved when the transaction is recalled from hold.
- A held order can only be deleted if the order is canceled.
