Refunds

A refund is the process of returning money to a customer for a previously purchased item or order.

Initiate a Refund

  • To process a refund, navigate to the transaction page and select the order that needs to be refunded.Click on the 'Refund' button in the top right corner on the transaction details page.

  • You can process either a full or partial refund.For a full refund, click the "Add All" button. Additionally, you have the option to add a deduction amount and include any remarks if necessary.Enter the amount and click "Proceed".

Select the required action to fully or partially refund an order

Partial and Full Refunds

Refunds can be done in two ways.

  • Partial Refund - Providing a refund for only a few products in an order due to specific reasons.
  • Full refund - Providing a refund for the complete order.

Deductions

In some cases, during the refund process, we may need to deduct an amount for service charges or taxes. This deduction can be specified while processing refunds.

Enter the required deduction amount if needed

Remarks

Remarks added for the refund.

  • A confirmation on the refund popup will appear. Click 'OK' to confirm.

To view refunded orders

To view refunded transactions, go to the transactions page and click the "Refund" button at the top of the screen.

Fields & Descriptions

   
Refund NumberUnique ID provided for each refunded transactiions
Refund Date The date which refund is processed
Customer Name of the customer
Provider Name of the provider like POS, Uber Eats etc
Grand Total Total amount of refunded amount for particular order
Status Status of the transaction like Refunded & Partially refunded

Click on any of the order to go to the refund detail page

Click the "Go to Transaction" button to view the details. This will navigate you to the transaction detail page, where you can find information about the order, including the refunded items.

Quick Refund Option

The Quick Refund feature in BTill POS allows staff to process refunds efficiently without linking them to a specific order. This is ideal for handling cases like goodwill refunds or customer satisfaction adjustments.

It allows staff to easily process refunds directly from the sales window. Staff can quickly select the specific products to be refunded, and let them do a quick refund for the selected-product's amount.
